November TBR

The past couple months have been hard when it comes to reading but this month I want to create a TBR to give myself a list of books I hope to get to throughout the month. The last good month I had was in march since then Ive barley been able to pick up a book. What’s hard about it to me is that I want to read new things but sometimes I feel like new things aren’t enough. By creating this list I hope to build a like for when Im unsure.

This book follows this young girl after shes been told that due to her illness she will lose her vision. Before this happens she wants to see every masterpiece and embarks on a journey with her grandfather. This caught my eye because of the cover. I took Art History in college and I also collected the artwork for my museum in animal crossing. When I first saw this book in barnes and noble there was a small description and I started tearing up reading it.

This one I’ve seen so many people talk about that its about a small town and how something that happens one night affects a group of people. It is one a lot of people have ended up crying to so that made me want to read this one as well. I want to pick this one up because of the cold weather too. This has a lot of mystery to me so being able to understand what everyone is talking about is making me want to read it but since it’s set in a small town with a big hockey team I wanted to wait until the cold weather months to read this one.

This one is a classic and always one I wanted to read but with the movie coming out this month I wanted to get into it and read it before watching the movie. I’m a huge Oscar Isaac fan and I’ve always been a fan of the eerie gothic style. It also seems like it has a similar writing style to Dracula. My husband read this one in high school and when I mentioned I wanted to into more classics he told me this one I needed to pick up. Like I mentioned with the movie coming out I wanted to read it.
I actually picked up the physical copy with the Guillermo Del Torro introduction

This is the fourth book in the gold rush ranch series by Elsie Silver. In march I binged the series and haven’t gone back so I think getting through this one can help get me out of a slump and is going to be easier to get through than the other choices I have so I can use it when I need a break. This book follows Nadia and her brother best friend. The main couple also has a 14 year age gap and I think that turned me away at first but after reading problematic summer romance I didn’t think I liked that trope but now I kind of do so I want to give this another shot.

Those are my tops in my list some that are on my maybe list. These are ones I will add if I can get through the other books.

Starting with A Curse Carved in Bone by Danielle Jensen. This is the second book to a Fate Inked in blood. This series follows Freya who is gifted by the gods and forced to marry her Jarl but is then put in the custody of his son who happens to be her age and starts to grow affections towards. This book follows the second and I’ve honestly been waiting about a year for the next installment.

This one is a holiday book I was gifted years ago by a friend and I’ve come to find that sometimes I don’t like seasonal books but this one is short and highly recommended that I want to try to get to it before the start of December to start to get me into the holiday spirit.

These are my hopefuls for the month. I usually set a long list but this month I want to be realistic with my pace and add a maybes section. Feel free to share if you’ve read any of these yet!
